Excel@Excel is a private, independently managed tutoring company aimed to serve the Indiana University-Bloomington students. Excel@Excel is not an Indiana University administered organization; however, all involved persons are subject to follow the Indiana University Code of Conduct. The policy detailed below not only applies to IU Bloomington students, but students taking classes at any IU satellite campus. If a client requests a session for a class being taken at a satellite campus, both the client and tutor are responsible for fully following the Excel@Excel Academic Integrity Policy. Furthermore, if an in-person session is not available, these policies apply to any sessions completed via Zoom, FaceTime, or other video call services.
For Tutors: Our tutors are expected to exemplify academic honesty when engaging in tutoring sessions with clients. They must refrain from providing direct answers or solutions to assignments, quizzes, or exams. Tutors should encourage and guide clients to understand academic material and concepts and enhance their understanding of the subject matter. If a student asks a tutor to commit any known or suspected academic misconduct, they are to immediately deny the request and refer them to the E@E policy regarding client behavior. If the client continues to ask for services that are prohibited by the IU Code of Conduct, they are to deny future services, as the company will not be responsible for involvement in academic misconduct cases. Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary actions, including conversations with Excel@Excel leadership team, forgoing earned wages, suspension from employment, and termination.
For Clients: Excel@Excel expects all clients to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity while seeking assistance from our tutors. Clients must not submit any work that is not their own, nor should they share their tutoring materials with others to facilitate academic misconduct. This includes password sharing that would grant a tutor access to sensitive information, Canvas, or any other personal files. Also, the client is responsible for reading and understanding their respective course conduct policies. Any form of cheating or academic dishonesty will not be tolerated, and clients found in violation of this policy may face consequences, including warnings, or termination of tutoring services. If a client has paid for tutoring services, and then makes a request for services involving activities that violate academic misconduct policies, they will not be granted a refund.
Excel@Excel is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and fostering an environment that promotes learning and intellectual growth. As a tutoring company, we expect both our tutors and clients to adhere to the Indiana University Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, & Conduct and refrain from engaging in any form of academic misconduct. This includes completing another student's work, sharing answers and passwords, or participating in any other cheating or dishonest practices.
At Excel@Excel, we believe that a commitment to academic integrity not only fosters a culture of trust and respect but also ensures the true development of knowledge and learning. We take this matter seriously and will actively collaborate with Indiana University to address any violations of this policy. Together, we can create an environment that promotes academic excellence, honesty, and personal growth for all students.
